President's Message
Dear members of the global police family,
And to the members of the World Police Taekwondo Federation (WPTF),
hello. I am Bang Seung-ho, President of the World Taekwondo Federation (WPTF).
The World Police Taekwondo Federation is an international federation established to promote friendship among police agencies worldwide, foster international exchange, and realize the values of peace and cooperation through Taekwondo.
Taekwondo is more than just a sport; it is a global martial art that embodies the spirit of respect, discipline, responsibility, and justice. I believe that for police officers in particular, Taekwondo is an important path of training for cultivating strong physical and mental fortitude, as well as a spirit of citizen protection.
WPTF is building an international network that connects police Taekwondo practitioners from around the world, and is striving to enhance the professionalism and international standing of police Taekwondo through international championships, educational seminars, and training courses for international referees and instructors.
Furthermore, we aim to promote international friendship through sports and expand cooperation among police agencies, while instilling the proper martial arts spirit and global leadership in future generations of police leaders.
The World Police Taekwondo Federation will continue to grow as an international federation alongside the global police community under the spirit of fairness, trust, harmony, and respect.
